The evening will begin within our subterranean Cellar Door where you’ll be treated to a spectacular two-part performance of members of the MSO Wind and Brass sections coming together in a night of music ranging from Giovanni Gabrieli to Leonard Bernstein’
the intimacy of the space provides the perfect backdrop for complete immersion in the performance.Â
During the interval, our winemaker, Adam McCallum will give an introduction into the evening’s wine selection while you sip 2019 Roussanne Marsanne Viognier alongside canapes designed especially for the occasion.Â
Following the second performance, as the sun begins to set, join us within the Restaurant for a seasonal three-course dinner by Head Chef Joel Alderdice alongside thoughtfully matched estate wines.Â
Staying true to TarraWarra Estate’s sustainable food philosophy, the menu for the evening will feature the very best produce from the kitchen garden and local Yarra Valley suppliers. From cheese and pepper arancini to beef short rib with black garlic mash (not to mention Joel’s Macadamia tart), it’s a menu that is sure to amaze!
TarraWarra Estate are proud to be a supporting partner of the MSO, helping them maintain a vital presence, both onstage and in the community, in cultivating classical music in Australia.Â
TarraWarra Estate acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the original custodians of the lands and waters on which the Estate stands, and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.Â
‘Tarrawarra’ is a Woiwurrung word that translates approximately as ‘slow moving water’ and is the name given to the area in which the Estate is located within the Yarra Valley.
Legend has it that the term ‘Tarrawarra’ refers to a bend in the nearby Birrarung (Yarra River), which courses from the Yarra Ranges through to Melbourne, flowing south of the Estates expansive grounds.
