Our subterranean Cellar Door opened in 2016 and was designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects to give our guests a unique insight into the wines and story of TarraWarra.
All our wines are grown and made from our 26-hectare vineyard, which is scattered across the 400-hectare property. A tasting through our range is a journey across the Estate with each wine reflecting the essence of TarraWarra.
The curved stone entrance reveals a truly beautiful, dedicated tasting space, which opens into our working winery.
Working with the team at Harvest stack allows us to offer produce fresh from the sea and as we love seafood, we couldn’t resist to feature some of the finest along with a glass of 2023 Estate Chardonnay…
So, on Saturday 25th January our cellar door will be serving up
Regal king salmon, tarragon, crumpet
King prawns, marie rose
Signature Sydney rock oysters, TWE Chardonnay mignonette
Port Phillip Mussels, onion escabeche
Port Phillip Octopus, native pickle
Corner inlet crudo, buttermilk, dill – this is going to be a white flesh fish maybe Trevally, snapper or flathead. Whatever Luke at Long Jetty Seafood catches that week.
$99 for a minimum of 2 people, inclusive of your wine. If there are 3 of you it will be an additional $49.50 and so on…
Please purchase your ‘Fruits de Mer’ and we’ll have it ready and waiting for you on the 25th January in the cellar door from 11 am.
Such a great way to enjoy summer, our wines, and the view of the vineyards as we head to vintage 2025.Â
TarraWarra Estate acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the original custodians of the lands and waters on which the Estate stands, and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.Â
‘Tarrawarra’ is a Woiwurrung word that translates approximately as ‘slow moving water’ and is the name given to the area in which the Estate is located within the Yarra Valley.
Legend has it that the term ‘Tarrawarra’ refers to a bend in the nearby Birrarung (Yarra River), which courses from the Yarra Ranges through to Melbourne, flowing south of the Estates expansive grounds.
